LANAP Dental laser for gentle and precise gum treatment
Our Doctors use the Millennium Periolase dental laser to effectively remove diseased tissue and bacteria without harming the surrounding healthy tissue. Because there is no surgery or sutures involved, your gum treatment is more efficient and more comfortable, with less post-treatment discomfort and faster recovery time.
Cone Beam 3D CT Scanner
Our Cone Beam 3D CT scanner takes a series of X-ray images in a 360° circle around your head. The images are computer-processed to produce crisp 3D 360° views of your teeth and jawbone. The doctors can view these images from any angle and magnify them for close inspection.
These 3D images allow us to accurately evaluate the bone support of your teeth without having to use invasive procedures. We can use these images to precisely plan the treatment of bone loss and the placement of dental implants.

Perioscope
The Perioscope is an advanced high-magnification miniature video camera that is placed into the pockets between your gums and teeth. We use the Perioscope during gum disease treatment to see deeply buried plaque and calculus deposits under your gum line that we could not detect before without periodontal surgery. This allows us to remove deeply buried deposits without surgical procedures in a large percentage of cases, making our gum disease treatment extremely thorough while being minimally invasive.
Intraoral Camera
Our digital intraoral camera takes high-resolution pictures of the inside of your mouth that show up immediately on a computer monitor. You and the doctor can view them together and he can show you the state of your teeth and gums in detail. Intraoral camera images also show things not visible in X-rays and give additional information for precision diagnosis and treatment planning.
Surgical Guides
A surgical guide is a template that fits over your dental arch and shows the precise location and angle where implants are to be placed. Dr. Setya uses surgical guides to guarantee accuracy of implant placement and to make the procedure faster and more efficient. Guided surgery also removes the need for cutting and suturing in most all cases, making implant placement far less invasive.
Chao Pinhole Surgical Technique

You and the doctor can view them together and he can show you the state of your teeth and gums in detail. Intraoral camera images also show things not visible in X-rays and give additional information for precision diagnosis and treatment planning.
Digital X-rays
Our digital X-ray devices emit 80% less radiation than conventional film X-ray machines and produce highly detailed images that are available in seconds. The images are often much clearer than conventional X-rays and we can zoom in on select parts of the images for closer inspection.
Identafi Oral Cancer Screening Device
Dr. Setya, Dr. Bergman, and Dr. Reshad use an Identafi oral cancer screening device to detect abnormal or diseased tissues in the mouth, including precancerous or cancerous growths. The Identafi device has three different colors and wavelengths of light that are shined onto the oral tissues. The lights illuminate abnormalities in oral tissue that are not visible with the naked eye.
By shining each type of light in succession, the doctor can zero in on any abnormality and determine if it shows signs of serious disease or oral cancer. He can then take a sample of the suspect tissue with your permission and send it to a biopsy lab for analysis.

Surgical magnification eyeglasses
Dr. Setya, Dr. Bergman, and Dr. Reshad use surgical magnification eyeglasses (known as surgical loupes) for a detailed view of small areas while giving treatment.
Dental laser
Dr. Setya, Dr. Bergman, and Dr. Reshad use a dental CO2 laser as a surgical device to gently cut gum and other soft tissues in the mouth. The laser is also used in gum disease treatment to kill bacteria and stimulate the reattachment of the gums to the teeth. Our dental laser is far less invasive than standard surgical instruments.
Ultrasonic scaling devices
We use ultrasonic scalers to quickly and gently remove the plaque and calculus that has accumulated on your teeth and below your gum line. Ultrasonic scalers use high-frequency vibrations that clean deeper and faster than traditional scaling instruments. The vibrational strength can also be adjusted for patient comfort.
